As space is limited, people who wish to attend are asked to <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/goodman\/distinguished-leader\/registration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">register online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are proud to honour Mich\u00e8le as our 2023 Distinguished Leader,\u201d said Wright. \u201cAs a people-first leader with a global business perspective and a desire to drive positive change, our students will gain invaluable insights meeting her and listening firsthand to her leadership journey.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Boudria started her career as a restaurant crew member in 1984 at a restaurant in Aylmer, Quebec. She grew with the company in regional, national and international leadership roles, including Managing Director of McDonald\u2019s Netherlands, and became McDonald\u2019s Canada\u2019s first woman President and CEO last year.<\/p>\n<p>Responsible for the business operations at more than 1,400 McDonald\u2019s Canada locations, she is focused on driving business results and creating a bigger impact by delivering on the company\u2019s purpose of feeding and fostering communities.<\/p>\n<p>Boudria is passionate about community as well as diversity, equity and inclusion, and sits on the boards for Catalyst Canada and Ronald McDonald House Charities. She is the former Chair of the Canadian McDonald\u2019s Women\u2019s Leadership Network and a former Vice-Chair for the United States Women\u2019s Leadership Network.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the fireside chat, Boudria will meet with Goodman student leaders at a local McDonald\u2019s restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>Goodman\u2019s Distinguished Leader Award is part of the D.G.
