{"id":8833,"date":"2011-03-21T13:25:58","date_gmt":"2011-03-21T18:25:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=8833"},"modified":"2011-03-21T13:25:58","modified_gmt":"2011-03-21T18:25:58","slug":"brock-partners-in-new-arts-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2011\/03\/brock-partners-in-new-arts-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Brock partners in new arts project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brock is involved in a new project that will see a website, increased marketing and school programs to raise the profile of the arts in Niagara.<\/p>\n<p>Marketing the Arts of St. Catharines was launched last week by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arts.brocku.ca\" target=\"_blank\">Centre for the Arts<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carouselplayers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Carousel Players<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stcatharines.ca\" target=\"_blank\">City of St. Catharines<\/a>. It is funded by the federal government through the Department of Canadian Heritage\u2019s Canada Cultural Investment Fund.<\/p>\n<p>The project is made up of three specific activities:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>CultureinNiagara.com \u2013 a project led by the City of St. Catharines. This site will promote cultural events, venues and organizations.<\/li>\n<li>Developing our Marketing Expertise \u2013 led by the Centre for the Arts. This is a series of workshops and roundtables in 2011 and 2012 to help Niagara arts companies maximize advertising and find new audiences. It will culminate in a two-day summit in September 2012.<\/li>\n<li>Inspire! Niagara Arts in Niagara Schools \u2013 led by Carousel Players.
