{"id":87759,"date":"2023-09-08T14:49:49","date_gmt":"2023-09-08T18:49:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=87759"},"modified":"2023-09-08T16:22:15","modified_gmt":"2023-09-08T20:22:15","slug":"registration-open-for-fall-continuing-education-programming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2023\/09\/registration-open-for-fall-continuing-education-programming\/","title":{"rendered":"Registration open for fall continuing education programming"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With a new school year now underway for students of all ages, Brock\u2019s continuing education programs are offering opportunities for professionals in a variety of fields to advance their skills this fall.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to continue to expand on our new training opportunities for individuals in Niagara, Burlington and the regions we serve,\u201d says April-Dawn Blackwell, Associate Vice-President of Professional and Continuing Studies (PCS). \u201cWe all recognize lifelong learning and career development is important for the social and economic well-being of our communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Brock\u2019s PCS programming is informed by extensive data analysis and community consultation to ensure it meets the evolving interests and skill development needs of lifelong learners in a changing labour force, says Blackwell.<\/p>\n<p>PCS has multiple courses available, with registration now open for three workshops:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/upcoming-programming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Introduction to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/upcoming-programming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Developing Strategic Planning Skills<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/upcoming-programming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Fundamentals of Managing Change<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>PCS also supports long-standing programming from other units at Brock, such as the Goodman Group, which is offering four professional development certificates for professionals this fall:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/upcoming-programming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NextGen Municipal Leadership Development<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/upcoming-programming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Non-Profit Leadership Development<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/upcoming-programming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Project Management Fundamentals<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/continuing-education\/upcoming-programming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Health-care Business Executive Management<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cReturning to school is an exciting adventure, and at the Goodman Group at Brock University we are here to make it an attractive and enriching experience, &#8221;
