{"id":85745,"date":"2023-05-25T11:27:44","date_gmt":"2023-05-25T15:27:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=85745"},"modified":"2023-05-25T16:31:13","modified_gmt":"2023-05-25T20:31:13","slug":"brock-researcher-to-share-antarctic-adventures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2023\/05\/brock-researcher-to-share-antarctic-adventures\/","title":{"rendered":"Brock researcher to share Antarctic adventures"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Amy Lemay, Adjunct Professor in the Environmental Sustainability Research Centre (ESRC), will discuss her experience travelling to Antarctica during an upcoming public talk.<\/p>\n<p>Lemay will share photos and reflections from her recent trip to the Antarctic Peninsula, with a particular focus on how science and tourism interact to support sustainability on the continent.<\/p>\n<p>The hybrid format presentation, \u201cAn Antarctic Adventure: Where science, sustainability and tourism meet,\u201d is co-hosted by the ESRC and the <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/esrc\/water-resilience-lab\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Water Resilience Lab<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31 and is free to attend. Participants may <a href=\"https:\/\/stream.lifesizecloud.com\/extension\/238400\/bfa02432-2f5f-4d38-87f6-11633a1352e0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">join via Lifesize<\/a> or attend in person in Rankin Family Pavilion Room 214\/215.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that those planning to attend in person should <a href=\"https:\/\/experiencebu.brocku.ca\/event\/235731\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RSVP on Experience BU<\/a> as soon as possible, as space is limited.
