He describes offshoring as a \u2018double-edge sword\u2019 because intense offshoring activities in the industry can enable international growth for businesses with some existing overseas operations while preventing it for domestic businesses.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559738&quot;:120,&quot;335559739&quot;:120,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">On Friday, March 24, the Associate Professor of International Business at Western University\u2019s Ivey School of Business will share his findings on the positive and negative aspects of offshoring in his talk, \u201cIndustry offshoring intensity and international diversification: Facilitative and inhibitive learning.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559738&quot;:120,&quot;335559739&quot;:120,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Fainshmidt also serves as an editor for numerous internationally renowned academic journals.
