On Friday, March 17, scholar Christian Vandenberghe will share his research on this topic with a focus on hospital settings.<\/p>\n
The Professor in HEC Montr\u00e9al\u2019s Department of Management has examined how head nurses\u2019 leadership may influence team members\u2019 commitment and motivation as well as how this could improve service performance.<\/p>\n
Vandenberghe will present his findings on how and when leadership impacts service performance at this week\u2019s Goodman School of Business Luncheon Speaker Series<\/a> event during his talk \u201cContextualizing Transformational Leadership for Patient Loyalty: The Role of Contextual Substitutes for Leadership and Substitute Strength.\u201d<\/p>\n Related to the topics presented in this study, Vandenberghe is holder of the Chair in the Management of Employee Commitment and Performance at HEC Montr\u00e9al. His research expertise also includes industrial and organizational psychology, employee retention, and change and well-being in the workplace.<\/p>\n The Goodman speaker series provides Goodman faculty, staff and students with an informal opportunity to listen and discuss recent advances in research, teaching and practices with business colleagues.<\/p>\n The talk will take place from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Sankey Chamber.
