{"id":83904,"date":"2023-03-01T11:38:02","date_gmt":"2023-03-01T16:38:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=83904"},"modified":"2023-03-01T19:43:53","modified_gmt":"2023-03-02T00:43:53","slug":"glowing-reviews-for-winning-gradflix-videos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2023\/03\/glowing-reviews-for-winning-gradflix-videos\/","title":{"rendered":"Glowing reviews for winning GRADflix videos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brock University graduate students captivated judges after their research videos were put under the microscope during this year\u2019s GRADflix competition.<\/p>\n<p>First place winner Ta\u00eds Lima, a Master of Science in Biotechnology student, received glowing reviews for her 60-second video on observing a beneficial fungus in a more effective and efficient way to find out how it grows on plants.<\/p>\n<p>The glow-in-the-dark observation highlighted in her video is helpful in describing the fungi developmental stages and could be useful in further agriculture studies.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"contentpasted0\">\u201cWorking with microbiology is a lot of fun and I wanted to communicate that through my video,\u201d said Lima. <\/span><span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u201c<\/span><span class=\"contentpasted0\">I tried my best to make an informative video that was visually appealing and interesting to watch, while explaining my research in a clear and concise way.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Glowing in the dark: a tool to observe microscopic fungi - T.
