Forget.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Department of Economics Speaker Series welcomes Professor Evelyn L. Forget of the University of Manitoba to present \u201cBasic Income in the Wake of the Pandemic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The talk takes place Monday, March 6 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in WH 327.<\/p>\n<p>Forget, who teaches economics and community health at the Max Rady College of Medicine, is a globally recognized researcher on the health and social implications of poverty and inequality who has consulted internationally on the topic of basic income.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, Forget published <em>Basic Income for Canadians: from the COVID-19 emergency to financial security for all<\/em>.
