Eleven students will showcase their skills beyond the classroom this week as they compete live in Brock\u2019s Got Talent events hosted by the Brock University Students\u2019 Union.<\/p>\n
The winner of the competition will take home $250 in prizes and represent Brock in the Ontario-wide COCA\u2019s Got Talent in March, hosted by the Canadian Organization of Campus Activities.<\/p>\n
The first round of the competition on Tuesday, Jan. 31 saw a crowd of students turn out to cheer on their fellow Badgers. The second and final heat will happen live Thursday, Feb. 2, at 2 p.m. in Union Station. Students can also watch the livestream and past episodes on BrockTV\u2019s YouTube channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n The top three contestants, as voted on by Brock students, will move on to compete in a red carpet event at Union Station on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m. Spots are limited for the finale, but students can reserve a seat on the BUSU website<\/a>.<\/p>\n The finale will open with performances by professional magician and comedian Shaun Ferguson and past Brock\u2019s Got Talent winners Senanya Jayatilake and Avery Turner, and feature a line-up of special guest judges.<\/p>\n
