Brock University\u2019s innovative research, and the funding it earns, is being recognized on a national scale.<\/p>\n
Brock was among the top five universities in its category for research income<\/a> originating from the federal government\u2019s three major research granting agencies, according to a national company that tracks Canada\u2019s research and development performance.<\/p>\n Research Infosource\u2019s latest report, Canada\u2019s Top 50 Research Universities 2022<\/a>, <\/strong>was released Wednesday, Jan. 18 and saw Brock ranked second out of 19 full-service undergraduate universities for research income from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC<\/a>) for fiscal years 2017 to 2021.<\/p>\n The report says support from SSHRC totalled more than $14.4 million over that five-year period.<\/p>\n For income from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC<\/a>) and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR<\/a>), Brock took fifth place.
