Brock\u2019s Building Better Research series returns this week, with a variety of topics planned for the Winter Term. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

University experts from the Brock Library, the Office of Research Services and Government, Community and International Relations will be presenting noon-hour online workshops this month that aim to support faculty and student research practices. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 10,<\/span>\u00a0Instructional Design Librarian<\/span> Cal Murgu will be leading a short presentation on responsible research metrics, which will review common and emerging research metrics, identify resources for collection and analysis of research metrics, and discuss how to apply research metrics in a responsible manner to illustrate the impact of research programs.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Also taking place this month are presentations on partnerships, knowledge mobilization and evaluating journals while avoiding predatory publication. Three additional workshops on knowledge mobilization will take place in February and March, with focuses on plain language communication, digital knowledge mobilization and equity, diversity and inclusion. Additional topics over the next few months include Indigenous research grants, community engagement, the Qualtrics survey platform and\u00a0using the Brock Makerspace in research.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
