Brock will mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women Tuesday, Dec. 6 with a public ceremony in the atrium of the Rankin Family Pavilion.<\/p>\n

The ceremony, scheduled for 9 a.m., will honour and remember the 14 women lost in the tragic 1989 shooting at Montreal\u2019s \u00c9cole Polytechnique (now called Polytechnique Montreal).<\/p>\n

The event is part of Brock\u2019s 16 days of activism against gender-based violence<\/a>, which began Nov. 25 with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.<\/p>\n

The campus community is also invited to a panel discussion reflecting on five years of the #MeToo movement<\/a>, scheduled for 1:30 p.m. in Sankey Chamber.<\/p>\n
