Members of the Brock community are invited to celebrate a significant milestone for the Goodman School of Business Wednesday, Nov. 23.<\/p>\n
Held to mark the 10th anniversary of Goodman becoming a named business school, \u00a0an event will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Goodman Atrium. The naming of the School was announced in fall 2012 following a transformational gift from then Brock Chancellor Ned Goodman and the Goodman Family Foundation.<\/p>\n
For Goodman Interim Dean Barry Wright, the celebration will be an opportunity for Brock to celebrate Goodman School spirit and the accomplishments made possible because of the trust Goodman and his family placed in the University.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe gave us his name, reputation and the resources to make us who we are today,\u201d said Wright. \u201cBeing named signalled to the external business community that a prominent Canadian trailblazer saw value in our School and the work we were doing, while also generating a profound sense of pride for both our students and faculty.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ten years later, the return on that investment is paying off with Goodman now ranked by Maclean\u2019s<\/em><\/a> magazine as one of Canada\u2019s top 20 business schools, coming in with an overall ranking of 18 and placing 17th in the reputation category.<\/p>\n
