{"id":81522,"date":"2022-10-27T15:56:41","date_gmt":"2022-10-27T19:56:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=81522"},"modified":"2022-10-27T16:43:02","modified_gmt":"2022-10-27T20:43:02","slug":"interim-dean-appointed-in-faculty-of-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2022\/10\/interim-dean-appointed-in-faculty-of-education\/","title":{"rendered":"Interim Dean appointed in Faculty of Education\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Following consultation with faculty members and the University Senate, Interim President and Provost and Vice-President, Academic Lynn Wells has appointed Mary-Louise Vanderlee I<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">nterim Dean of the Faculty of Education, effective Jan. 1, 2023. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Vanderlee will succeed Michael Owen, who has served as Dean since August 2017. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Under the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u202f<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/policies\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/94\/Policy-on-the-Appointment-of-Academic-Administrators.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Policy on the Appointment of Academic Administrators<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Vanderlee will serve a term of up to two years while the search for a Dean is completed.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Vanderlee is currently Associate Dean of Professional and Undergraduate Studies and <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">has extensive experience supporting student success and collaborating with partners across campus.
