Student and campus leadership will be the focus of the next Women in Leadership (WIL) session, when Brock Graduate Students\u2019 Association (GSA) President and CEO Haley Myatt presents.<\/p>\n
The Child and Youth Studies graduate student, who holds degrees in public relations and international human rights and is an award-winning leader, has more than 11 years of experience with post-secondary student governance at provincial, national and international levels.<\/p>\n
She has been involved with several campaigns and referendums aimed at improving student experiences in post-secondary institutions, including a nationally recognized sexual health and guidance campaign, increases in mental health support services and, here at Brock, a referendum for a new graduate student building.<\/p>\n
In her Women and Leadership talk, taking place virtually Tuesday, Nov. 1 from noon to 1 p.m., Myatt says she will reflect on her journey and how she tries to \u201cfind the extra in the ordinary, come into passions with compassion and acknowledge loneliness within leadership\u201d to \u201coffer a perspective that is not often discussed on campus.\u201d<\/p>\n
