Trecia McLennon will take a closer look at the saying \u201cnothing about us without us\u201d at Brock’s next Women in Leadership (WIL) meeting.<\/p>\n
The Director of EDI (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) Culture and Education in Brock\u2019s Human Resources office, and staff Vice-Chair on the President\u2019s Advisory Committee on Human Rights, Equity and Decolonization, will present on Tuesday, Oct. 18 from noon to 1 p.m. via Microsoft Teams.<\/p>\n
She plans to help others think through \u201cwhen it\u2019s appropriate to wield or yield power\u201d in her talk, \u201cThe Art of Passing the Mic.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAs leaders, our capacity for deep listening can make or break opportunities to address representation, voice and who gets to speak freely \u2014 or speak at all,\u201d \u00a0she says. \u201cThis talk will address creating the conditions for excellence and innovation to thrive through diverse, decolonized approaches.\u201d<\/p>\n
