A returning initiative is calling on Brock University students to track their sustainable actions for the chance to win prizes.<\/p>\n
Hosted by Brock in partnership with Blackstone Energy Services, the Welcome Back Sustainability Challenge asks students to log their environmental efforts to gain points from Monday, Sept. 12 to Friday, Sept. 16. Similar to challenges hosted last school year<\/a>, a variety of actions will net students points, such as using a reusable water bottle, carpooling, eating leftovers, turning off the faucet while brushing your teeth, and more.<\/p>\n \u201cThis challenge is an excellent way to learn how easy it is to make a positive difference on the environment; many students already do these things,\u201d said Mary Quintana, Brock\u2019s Director of Asset Management and Utilities. \u201cIt\u2019s also an opportunity to learn about additional things we can do to further our positive impact.\u201d<\/p>\n At the end of the week, the 10 students with the highest scores will win a prize.<\/p>\n The top five students will be entered into a draw to win one of the three Apple products: an Apple iPad, Apple Watch or Apple AirPods. The two students not chosen in the draw will automatically win a $75 Campus Store gift card, and the students with the sixth to 10th highest scores will each receive a $25 Campus Store gift card.<\/p>\n
