The union represents approximately 150 maintenance, custodians and tradespeople at Brock.<\/p>\n<p>The two parties have met nearly a dozen times since beginning negotiations in March. Friday&#8217;s meeting includes a provincial mediator and follows CUPE&#8217;s request for a no board report earlier this month. The union has set an Aug. 22 strike deadline.<\/p>\n<p>Brock is committed to reaching a fair collective agreement that reflects the importance of the contributions of members of the bargaining unit, while being\u00a0financially responsible and\u00a0sustainable.<\/p>\n<p>While the University is hopeful a negotiated agreement can be reached, it has begun business continuity planning.<\/p>\n<p>Updates will be shared on Brock\u2019s website as new information becomes available.
