Brad Clarke (BA \u201900, MEd \u201918) has been appointed Brock University\u2019s Associate Vice-President, Students, responsible for all aspects of Brock\u2019s top-ranked student services and student experience, as the University prepares for a full return to campus life in September.<\/p>\n

Clarke, who has served as Director of Student Life and Community Experience\/Success at Brock for more than 12 years, will assume the role as of Monday, June 6.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am thrilled and honoured to be able to continue working on behalf of Brock\u2019s diverse, dynamic student community in this new role,\u201d says Clarke. \u201cBrock is well known for its exceptional student experience, and I\u2019m looking forward to helping build on that tradition with the great student services team we have on campus.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maclean\u2019s<\/em> ranks Brock best in the country for mental health supports<\/a> and first in Ontario and third in Canada for student satisfaction. It also ranks Brock\u2019s student life staff third in the country.<\/p>\n

Clarke, a Brock graduate and past president of the Brock University Students\u2019 Union and the Brock University Alumni Association, has extensive experience leading teams responsible for supporting and advancing student life on and off campus.<\/p>\n

The Associate Vice-President, Students portfolio includes the units responsible for student health and wellness, student engagement and success, student conduct, and athletics and recreation.<\/p>\n

\u201cBrad brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this role, which is critical to the success of our students,\u201d says Provost and Interim President Lynn Wells. \u201cI\u2019m very much looking forward to working with him in this new capacity as we explore innovative ways to make a great student experience even better.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wells also thanked outgoing Vice-Provost and AVP, Students Anna Lathrop as her term concludes at the end of June.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnna has been a tireless advocate for students throughout her time in senior administrative leadership,\u201d says Wells. \u201cFrom enhancing Brock\u2019s culture of teaching and learning to supporting the growth of mental health services on campus, Anna and her team have worked incredibly hard to ensure Brock students have all the tools they need for success.
