The Brock University community is invited to attend a drop-in celebration in honour of Anna Lathrop, Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President, Students, whose decade of senior administrative leadership concludes at the end of June.<\/p>\n

Faculty, staff, librarians and students are welcome to drop by the Walker Sports Complex Dance Studio on Tuesday, May 31 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Donations in support of the Food First program<\/a> are welcome as a gesture of appreciation.<\/p>\n

Lathrop has worked at Brock University for more than three decades, with the past 10 years spent in senior administrative leadership positions.<\/p>\n

Lathrop was appointed in 2012 as the University\u2019s inaugural Vice-Provost, Teaching and Learning<\/a>, with oversight of the University\u2019s Centre for Pedagogical Innovation. This role focused on enhancing Brock’s teaching and learning culture through a range of traditional, experiential and innovative pedagogies.<\/p>\n

In 2015, Lathrop added to her portfolio the student services units responsible for student health and wellness, student success, student affairs, and co-op, career and experiential education as the Vice-Provost, Teaching, Learning and Student Success.<\/p>\n

In 2020, with the addition of Brock Sports, Brock Recreation and Residence Life, her position title changed to Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President, Students.<\/p>\n

Following Lathrop\u2019s administrative leave, she will return to her faculty duties in the Department of Kinesiology, Faculty of Applied Health Sciences.<\/p>\n
