Brock University has once again ranked among the Top 100 universities in the world for its Sport Management and Kinesiology programs.<\/p>\n
In the recently released QS University World Rankings<\/a> on sports-related subjects, Brock was ranked among the Top 100 in the world and among the Top 9 in Canada.<\/p>\n Brock was ranked alongside Queen\u2019s University, and ahead of the University of Waterloo, Universit\u00e9 Laval and the Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n \u201cBrock has long been a leader in the field of sport science, so it\u2019s deeply gratifying to see this reflected in these global rankings,\u201d says Peter Tiidus, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences. \u201cOur outstanding faculty conduct world-leading research, and have a deep commitment to innovative, experiential learning and hands-on education. They deserve full credit for the continued high rankings of these programs.\u201d<\/p>\n The QS University World Rankings compare up to 550 institutions around the world in each category and rank them based on things such as academic reputation, employer reputation and research citations per paper.<\/p>\n \u201cThese are fantastic results that put a well-deserved spotlight on Brock on the international stage,\u201d says Lynn Wells, Interim President and Vice-Chancellor. \u201cCongratulations to the faculty, staff and students who have worked so hard to make Brock the sport science leader it is today.\u201d<\/p>\n Students are encouraged to participate<\/a> in this year\u2019s Maclean\u2019s magazine survey, which collects opinions and insights about their institution for the publication\u2019s annual University Rankings issue.<\/p>\n Brock has been ranked first in the country for its mental health supports by Maclean\u2019s<\/a> for four straight years, and last year ranked first in Ontario and third in the country for student satisfaction.<\/p>\n
