{"id":77099,"date":"2022-03-17T12:33:31","date_gmt":"2022-03-17T16:33:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=77099"},"modified":"2022-03-17T16:23:14","modified_gmt":"2022-03-17T20:23:14","slug":"deadline-nearing-for-alumni-award-nominations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2022\/03\/deadline-nearing-for-alumni-award-nominations\/","title":{"rendered":"Deadline nearing for alumni award nominations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Time is running out to nominate Brock graduates for this year\u2019s distinguished alumni awards.<\/p>\n<p>Each year, the Brock University Alumni Association (BUAA) celebrates and recognizes alumni excellence in a variety of categories related to personal, professional and community-based accomplishments.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the Brock community are encouraged to <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/alumni\/awards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">submit their nominations online<\/a> by Thursday, March 31 to be considered for this year\u2019s awards. Award nominations are reviewed and endorsed by the BUAA Recognition of Excellence Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Nominations are open for the following alumni awards:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Distinguished Alumni Award:<\/strong>\u00a0Honours a Brock University graduate who has earned prominence due to their exceptional professional achievements and\/or service to society.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Distinguished Faculty Graduate Awards:<\/strong>\u00a0Recognizes an individual graduate from each Faculty who has earned prominence as a result of their exceptional professional achievements and\/or service to society.
