Two Brock University employees retired this January after decades of service.<\/p>\n

Jeanette Ramsay, Undergraduate Student Affairs Officer with the Department of Social Sciences, retired Saturday, Jan. 22.<\/p>\n

Over the course of her 33 years at Brock, Ramsay held several positions dedicated to serving students, including Academic Advisor and Assistant Registrar, Academic Advising with the Registrar\u2019s Office and Faculty Academic Advisor with the Department of Social Sciences.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will miss the many students who filled my office,\u201d said Ramsay. \u201cMy joy came from encouraging students who may have been lost, to grow and find their way to successful graduation.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said she is forever grateful for the many friends, leaders and colleagues she had the privilege of working with.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to say thank you for all the good wishes and kind thoughts received that remind me of so many fond memories,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Leslie Wenzl, Administrative Assistant with the Department of Biological Sciences, retired Monday, Jan. 31 after 24 years of service.<\/p>\n

Wenzl began her Brock career as Secretary, then Administrative Assistant with the Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies. A few years later when the department was being phased out, Wenzl moved to the Faculty of Education, where she held several administrative assistant and financial assistant roles over 16 years. She has spent the past five years in Biological Sciences.<\/p>\n

Wenzl said she enjoyed interacting with students and will miss her work family and the many friends she made over the years.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were so many wonderful moments at Brock,\u201d she said. In her retirement, Wenzl is looking forward to spending more time with family.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
