It was extraordinary to be able to give back to a community who has always welcomed Brock in the Niagara region,\u201d said SALC co-president Madeline Hingston, a fourth-year Kinesiology student. \u201cThis was an opportunity we were grateful to be a part of.\u201d<\/p>\n
In November, the SALC reignited the Badgers\u2019 annual food drive for Community Care by setting up donation bins across campus while collecting non-perishable food at basketball, volleyball and hockey games.<\/p>\n
The SALC then held a well-attended Holiday Skate at Seymour-Hannah Arena before the holidays in December by inviting the community to donate toys before lacing up for a free skate.<\/p>\n
The council looks to continue the momentum and explore ways to help the community throughout the pandemic.<\/p>\n
