The Brock University Students\u2019 Union (BUSU) is hosting a free mental health talk and virtual Q&A session with Canadian sprinter and six-time Olympic medalist, Andre De Grasse.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis event came about in an effort to provide a unique opportunity for our fellow students,\u201d said Faten Darbaj, BUSU Vice-President, Student Services (VPSS). \u201cWhile we are once again studying from home, I am sure many of us will benefit from hearing from someone as inspiring and motivational as Andre De Grasse.\u201d<\/p>\n
De Grasse will speak on mental health and how to overcome adversities at any stage in life: whether you\u2019re dealing with school pressure or standing on the Olympic podium.<\/p>\n
The event, which BUSU organized in conjunction with other Ontario student associations, will be held via Zoom on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. and is open to all Brock students. Registration is required and students are encouraged to write a question for De Grasse when they register. One student will be chosen to ask their question to De Grasse live during the event.<\/p>\n
