{"id":75719,"date":"2021-12-14T12:00:23","date_gmt":"2021-12-14T17:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=75719"},"modified":"2021-12-14T16:46:16","modified_gmt":"2021-12-14T21:46:16","slug":"nominations-open-for-new-employee-team-service-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2021\/12\/nominations-open-for-new-employee-team-service-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Nominations open for new employee team service award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new employee service award celebrating the power of teamwork is now open for nominations.<\/p>\n<p>Created by the Office of the President and Vice-Chancellor, the Brock University Outstanding Team Service Award will annually recognize a team of faculty and\/or staff members for their outstanding contributions throughout the year beyond what is normally expected. Criteria for the award includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The provision of exceptional service to staff, faculty, students, alumni, donors or visitors; or<\/li>\n<li>The identification of measures that contribute to the effectiveness of University operations; or<\/li>\n<li>A direct or indirect contribution that positively impacts the University community internally or externally. For example, a contribution that impacts student success or a contribution that impacts the reputation of Brock.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cThe award (\u2026) allows us to leverage the benefits of multiple perspectives, skills and experiences to perform the extraordinary,\u201d said Jennifer Guarasci, Associate Vice-President, Human Resources. \u201cThis has been particularly important over the last 18 months, as we worked together to see Brock successfully through some very difficult times.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for nominations for the Brock University Outstanding Team Service Award is Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022 at 4:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The call for nominations letter with details on award criteria and administration, as well as the required forms, can be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.sharepoint.com\/human-resources\/Pages\/Compensation.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Human Resources\/Compensation SharePoint page<\/a>. Note that when clicking the document link for the nomination and endorsement forms, select \u2018save as\u2019 to download a copy.<\/p>\n<p>Completed nominations forms can be emailed to Lindsay Redmond at <a href=\"mailto:lredmond@brocku.ca\">lredmond@brocku.ca<\/a> \u00a0Questions can be directed to Redmond via the same email.<\/p>\n<p>Award winners will be announced Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022 at the 26th annual Distinguished Staff Service Awards event beginning at 2 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Also being recognized at the event will be the recipients of the President\u2019s Distinguished Staff Service Award for Outstanding Contributions and the Human Resources Distinguished Staff Service Award for Leadership, as well as employees who have reached 25- and 35-year milestones.
