The students staffed information booths with local volunteers from Buffalo.<\/p>\n<p>Scott McRoberts, director of Niagara Sport Commission, spearheaded the initiative. McRoberts, a Sport Management alumni and adjunct faculty member at Brock, said there was overwhelming interest in volunteering.<\/p>\n<p>The information booths were stationed at both the HSBC and Niagara University\u2019s Dwyer Arena, as well as the three player and media hotels in the area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll the Brock students I worked with were very well spoken, polite, and a real pleasure to work with,&#8221; American volunteer Paul Murphy said.<\/p>\n<p>The student representatives included qualified volunteers and students completing practical components of courses offered through the Sport Management program.
