Since the COVID-19 pandemic sent Brock University\u2019s classes online in March 2020, the Centre for Pedagogical Innovation (CPI) has played a key role in supporting faculty, part-time instructors and teaching assistants.<\/p>\n
Now, with about 60 per cent of classes planned for on-campus delivery for the Fall 2021 Term, a new instructor resource has been launched which is meant to help provide guidance as instructors head back into the classroom amid ongoing public health restrictions.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe wanted to create a resource that would help instructors know what to expect around logistics in the classroom,\u201d says Madelyn Law, Associate Vice-Provost, Teaching and Learning. \u201cFrom the point they leave their office or arrive on campus until they leave the classroom, what do they need to think about and know?\u201d<\/p>\n
Found on the CPI website, the Flexible Teaching and Learning resource<\/a> includes tips and ideas, answers to common questions, examples from Brock instructors and more.<\/p>\n \u201cWe really want to help instructors transition back to on-campus teaching in a safe and positive way,\u201d Law says.<\/p>\n She is also encouraging faculty, part-time instructors and teaching assistants who either want to share their ideas or ask questions to contact cpi@brocku.ca<\/a><\/p>\n
