The seminar will also benefit anyone thinking of entering the data governance field or wanting to learn more about data security, privacy and unified consumer data. The panelists will discuss what working in the field entails and what it\u2019s like as a female leader in a male-dominated industry.<\/p>\n
Ali-Hosein leads a team of data scientists across the Media and Digital Media groups at Cineplex on how they can leverage machine learning to solve some of Cineplex Digital Media\u2019s toughest problems. She was part of the team that developed Cineplex\u2019s first machine learning product that recommended media ads at the right time to the right person. Outside of work, she\u2019s an avid believer and active contributor towards growing women in STEM and is a member of Data for Good, University of Waterloo\u2019s Women in Math and Waterloo\u2019s Women\u2019s Impact Network.<\/p>\n
As Chief Data Officer at Pheonix IT and consultant Data Governance Lead at GoEasy, Mann has more than 15 years of experience in the data governance and privacy industry. She has been leading data governance, privacy, security and strategic technology builds across industries, including strategic projects with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Rogers, the LCBO and, presently, GoEasy. With a background in management information systems, she is Certified Data Privacy Solution Engineer, a Certified Information Security Auditor, Certified Risk and Information Systems Control and a Project Management Professional.<\/p>\n
