Brock University\u2019s Campus Store has reopened its doors.<\/p>\n
For the first time since December 2020, Brock\u2019s Campus Store opened for in-person shopping the week of Tuesday, Aug. 3 with limited capacity to allow two metres of physical distancing.<\/p>\n
Nick Fabiano, Campus Store Associate Director, said the reopening has come at a perfect time of year.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are excited to welcome customers back into the store to see everything we have for back to school this year,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
To safely enter the store, Brock students, faculty and staff will need to first complete a COVID-19 screening and enter through either the Rankin Family Pavilion entrance or the Roy and Lois Cairns Health and Bioscience Research Complex entrance.<\/p>\n
Further safety measures include ensuring anyone entering the store will need to be wearing a mask and keeping textbook purchases online-only, with one-to-three-day courier shipping or in-store pickup options available. Free shipping will be applied to any domestic orders over $50.<\/p>\n
The store will be open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. throughout August. Online and in-person customers will receive a free Brock hoodie with purchases over $300, while supplies last.<\/p>\n
Having remained open online throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to support the Brock community, the store has implemented several improvements to streamline the student experience, including My Course List,<\/a> a personalized booklist of course materials required\u00a0by professors for courses students are registered in, and a new streamlined website that includes student<\/a> and faculty<\/a> course material resource pages.<\/p>\n As a University-run business, with proceeds directly supporting student programming, Fabiano said the Campus Store appreciates the support the Brock community has provided while it was operating online.<\/p>\n \u201cThank you to the Brock community for your continued online support and a special thank you to the faculty members who have partnered with us to get orders in so we are ready to support our students,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The fall booklist<\/a> became available Friday, Aug. 6 for students to shop for their fall course materials.\u00a0Multiple course materials formats options include new, used, digital, and digital rentals along with price matching with Amazon.ca to provide students with choice based on their preference and budget.<\/p>\n Any instructors who still need to place an order for their course materials for September are asked to contact adoptions@brocku.ca<\/a> at their earliest convenience.<\/p>\n
