The Brock University Students\u2019 Union (BUSU) is looking to hire more than 70 undergraduate students to work at its various on-campus businesses and operations.<\/p>\n
\u201cBUSU\u2019s social enterprises include businesses that not only provide a variety of food options on campus, they also provide students with jobs and opportunities to learn from real-world experience,\u201d said BUSU President Rafay Rehan. \u201cWorking for BUSU in any capacity offers students flexible and convenient employment. It is also a great culture and a place to meet new friends.\u201d<\/p>\n
There are six businesses at Brock owned by BUSU and operated by students including Subway, Harvey\u2019s, Booster Juice, Union Greens, Isaac\u2019s, and the General Brock convenience store. The Student Union also runs BrockTV, where students are employed as producers and commentators.<\/p>\n
With a number of roles recently filled and more to be posted in the coming weeks, the undergraduate positions currently available include BrockTV commentators, marketing co-ordinator and producers, as well as food service team members, cashiers and service staff.<\/p>\n
\u201cOnce students are back in-person, our social enterprises will be open with all COVID-19 protocols in place,\u201d said Rehan, adding that the plan \u2014 pending the public health situation \u2014 is to reopen everything Tuesday, Sept. 7.<\/p>\n
