{"id":73075,"date":"2021-07-05T10:05:03","date_gmt":"2021-07-05T14:05:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=73075"},"modified":"2021-07-05T10:05:48","modified_gmt":"2021-07-05T14:05:48","slug":"brock-parking-permits-on-sale-july-13","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2021\/07\/brock-parking-permits-on-sale-july-13\/","title":{"rendered":"Brock parking permits on sale July 13"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Paid parking resumes at Brock University on Wednesday, Sept. 1.<\/p>\n<p>Permits will\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/parking-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">go on sale online\u00a0only\u00a0<\/a>starting Tuesday, July 13\u00a0at 10 a.m., and will be mailed to employees and students beginning in early August.<\/p>\n<p>Parking remains free in Zone 1 until Tuesday, Aug. 31.<\/p>\n<p>This past year, Brock added more than 200 new parking spaces in high-demand lots and recently began the installation of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2021\/06\/construction-begins-to-install-electric-vehicle-chargers-on-campus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">electric vehicle charging stations<\/a>,\u00a0which are on track to be completed by the fall. On the west side of campus, a new road now connects Zone 3 with Village Residences.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve added more options for parking and made several upgrades to our lots over the past year,\u201d said Tarilyn Bartels, Manager, Parking Services. \u201cWe wanted to allow customers to evaluate which permit type fits their schedule and needs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Parking options include hourly, daily rate, weekly, monthly, four-month or eight-month permits.<\/p>\n<p>The Lot D Visitor Parking Kiosk will be closed in September. For contactless parking options the HONK mobile app continues to offer daily, weekly and monthly permits.
