{"id":71520,"date":"2021-04-06T11:53:27","date_gmt":"2021-04-06T15:53:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=71520"},"modified":"2021-04-07T16:18:06","modified_gmt":"2021-04-07T20:18:06","slug":"brock-university-niagara-college-to-co-host-virtual-spring-clean-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2021\/04\/brock-university-niagara-college-to-co-host-virtual-spring-clean-up\/","title":{"rendered":"Brock University, Niagara College to co-host Virtual Spring Clean-up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brock University and Niagara College are hosting a Virtual Spring Clean-up \u2014 and they want to encourage community members to do the same.<\/p>\n<p>In an effort to help build more sustainable communities, the institutions have come together to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/sustainability\/initiatives\/virtual-clean-up-toolkit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">launch a toolkit<\/a>\u00a0that will make it easier for the public to safely hold clean-up events across Niagara and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>Specific guidelines are provided to help students, community members and organizations take part in clean-up initiatives in a safe manner.<\/p>\n<p>The kit includes information and simple steps on how to host or join a community clean-up anytime, anywhere. Resources also direct participants to their local health guidelines to ensure all COVID-19 restrictions are followed throughout the process.<\/p>\n<p>To kick-start the community involvement as Earth Day approaches on April 22, Brock and Niagara College will host a Virtual Spring Clean-up for students from Saturday, April 17 to Sunday, April 25.
