The\u00a0<\/span>Niagara Region Public Health\u00a0<\/span>COVID-19 vaccination\u00a0<\/span>clinic at Brock\u00a0<\/span>University<\/span>\u00a0is set to welcome its first 1,000\u00a0<\/span>community members later this week.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

From Friday, April 2 to Tuesday, April 6, nearly\u00a0<\/span>7<\/span>,000 seniors are expected to get the first round of the<\/span>ir<\/span>\u00a0COVID vaccination at the clinic being hosted in Brock\u2019s Ian\u00a0<\/span>Beddis<\/span>\u00a0Gymnasium<\/span>, located at the west end of campus in the Walker Sports Complex.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The clinic will run daily from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is being organized and delivered by Niagara Region Public Health.<\/span>\u00a0Once on campus, signage will direct people to the dedicated clinic entrance, which is the east\u00a0<\/span>doors<\/span>\u00a0leading<\/span>\u00a0directly into Ian\u00a0<\/span>Beddis<\/span>\u00a0Gym<\/span>nasium.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Parking for the clinic is free<\/span>. Accessible parking will be in Lot P near Alumni Field and general parking will be in Visitor\u00a0<\/span>Lots<\/span>\u00a0B and D.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Public transit is also available and will drop people off in front of\u00a0<\/span>the Maj.-Gen. Sir Isaac Brock statue near the Rankin Family Pavilion<\/span>\u00a0at the base of\u00a0<\/span>Schmon<\/span>\u00a0Tower<\/span>, where shuttles will be available to take them to the clinic entrance.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While the first round of clinics run from April 2 to 6, additional clinics will be announced soon and are expected to take place at Brock throughout the spring and summer.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All booking<\/span>s\u00a0<\/span>must be made through the provincial booking system<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0which is available online at\u00a0<\/span>covid-19.ontario.ca\/book-vaccine<\/span><\/a>\u00a0or by phoning\u00a0<\/span>888-999-6488<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All of the vaccination clinics are maintained with high standards of infection prevention given the vulnerable populations being vaccinated. The clinics also have screening and security at all times to ensure that only those who need to be present are permitted into the clinic area.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NOTE:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>Any faculty and staff coming to campus either to help out with the clinic or for other Brock-related work are asked to park in Zone 1 for the duration of the clinics.<\/span>\u00a0All Brock employees will need to enter the University through one of two designated entrances: the Rankin Family Pavilion or the east entrance of the\u00a0<\/span>Roy and Lois Cairns Health and Bioscience Research Complex<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
