An upcoming panel discussion will examine women\u2019s rights and historical memory in Canada and the U.S.<\/p>\n
Held virtually Thursday, March 4 at 1:30 p.m., the panel features Brock Department of History Associate Professor Elizabeth Vlossak along with History Professor Margaret Lowe of Bridgewater State University and Associate Professor of History Shannon Risk of Niagara University.<\/p>\n
Panelists will discuss how historical memory is shaped and how ideas about class and race intersect with gender in the history of women. They will also consider what steps can be taken to recognize the broad diversity of women activists shaping campaigns for equal rights in both Canada and the United States.<\/p>\n
\u201cVoices Across the Border\u201d is a series of three talks co-organized by Brock\u2019s Centre for Canadian Studies, Niagara University in New York and Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts.<\/p>\n
