While years of research have assessed the effectiveness of anti-tobacco marketing strategies on consumer regulations, only recently have studies revealed indirect regulations, such as taxes, can affect brand loyalty.<\/p>\n
In this week\u2019s instalment of the Goodman Luncheon Speaker Series, Yanwen Wang will discuss how anti-tobacco efforts impact cigarette brands as she presents the findings of her co-authored paper \u201cInvestigating the Effects of Excise Taxes, Public Usage Restrictions, and Anti-Smoking Ads across Cigarette Brands.\u201d<\/p>\n
Wang is an assistant professor of Marketing and Behavioural Science and Canada Research Chair in Marketing Analytics with the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. Her research lies in public health, consumer finance, gig economy, online education, loyalty programs and customer analytics.<\/p>\n
