{"id":68291,"date":"2020-09-29T09:52:54","date_gmt":"2020-09-29T13:52:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=68291"},"modified":"2020-10-01T11:37:24","modified_gmt":"2020-10-01T15:37:24","slug":"export-learning-processes-to-be-discussed-at-goodman-luncheon-speaker-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2020\/09\/export-learning-processes-to-be-discussed-at-goodman-luncheon-speaker-series\/","title":{"rendered":"Export learning processes to be discussed at Goodman Luncheon Speaker Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Research in the <em>Journal of International Marketing<\/em> reveals a greater understanding of export learning processes in an international context.<\/p>\n<p>In this week\u2019s segment of Goodman\u2019s Luncheon Speaker Series, Magnus Hultman will discuss export learning processes in international marketing strategies as he presents the findings of his co-authored paper \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/abs\/10.1177\/1069031X19848425\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Do Export Learning Processes Affect Sales Growth in Exporting Activities?<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The webinar presentation will take place Friday, Oct. 2 from noon to 2:30 p.m. via\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/stream.lifesizecloud.com\/extension\/2698245\/ed9082ca-a0d9-4dc9-a42b-ee0a2c3dfeab\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lifesize<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Associate Professor of Marketing at Leeds University Business School, Director of Student Education of Marketing, and Deputy Director of the Global and Strategic Marketing Research Centre (GLOSMARC) said the study\u2019s findings include a more diverse look at learning processes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe relationship between learning, knowledge and export performance is more complex and not as straight forward as one would initially think, especially if one considers differences between mature markets and developing markets,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Hultman\u2019s co-authored paper also received the<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>2019 S.
