{"id":68161,"date":"2020-09-22T10:41:42","date_gmt":"2020-09-22T14:41:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=68161"},"modified":"2020-09-22T15:31:57","modified_gmt":"2020-09-22T19:31:57","slug":"brock-sports-launches-women-in-sport-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2020\/09\/brock-sports-launches-women-in-sport-group\/","title":{"rendered":"Brock Sports launches Women in Sport Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brock Sports is establishing a new group to engage women in sport and help elevate them on the athletics landscape.<\/p>\n<p>The Brock Sports Women in Sport Group is looking to start with a series of virtual meetings to cover critical topics such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Building a positive team culture<\/li>\n<li>Confidence and leadership<\/li>\n<li>Body image and mental health<\/li>\n<li>Building equity in sport<\/li>\n<li>Building yourself outside of sport<\/li>\n<li>Goal setting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The initiative is spearheaded by Brock Sports Medicine Athletic Therapist Kelsey Marshall.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis has been a passion project of mine with the goal of fostering a supportive space for females to discuss relevant information and issues within our lives and sport,\u201d said Marshall. \u201cWomen have so much to contribute as leaders.
