{"id":67633,"date":"2020-08-19T10:11:05","date_gmt":"2020-08-19T14:11:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=67633"},"modified":"2023-10-24T10:29:14","modified_gmt":"2023-10-24T14:29:14","slug":"brock-library-resumes-scanning-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2020\/08\/brock-library-resumes-scanning-services\/","title":{"rendered":"Brock Library resumes scanning services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"Body\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Brock University Library is now resuming their online scanning services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">To utilize this service, users can request the scan of a book chapter or journal article in <\/span><span class=\"Hyperlink0\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ocul-bu.primo.exlibrisgroup.com\/discovery\/search?vid=01OCUL_BU:BU_DEFAULT&amp;lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Omni<\/a><\/span><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">, the Library\u2019s academic search tool.<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Once a user has searched and found the book title or print journal they would like scanned, they can sign-in to Omni. In Omni, click on \u2018Request a Scan\u2019 and provide further details about which chapter or page selection needs to be scanned. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Library team will then pull the book from the shelves, scan the requested section and email the user the scanned version within a few days.
