{"id":65991,"date":"2020-05-26T09:38:53","date_gmt":"2020-05-26T13:38:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=65991"},"modified":"2020-05-26T09:38:53","modified_gmt":"2020-05-26T13:38:53","slug":"two-days-of-canada-conference-archive-now-online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2020\/05\/two-days-of-canada-conference-archive-now-online\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Days of Canada conference archive now online"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thirty-four years of conference history is now <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/humanities\/canadian-studies\/two-days-of-canada-conference\/archive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">online<\/a>, thanks to the hard work of Elaine Aldridge-Low, an\u00a0administrative assistant for Brock University&#8217;s Centre for Canadian Studies.<\/p>\n<p>Aldridge-Low\u00a0began the project when she realized that information about past Two Days of Canada conferences was not gathered together in one place, inspiring her to track down hard copies of past conference programs and posters.<\/p>\n<p>Using the University archives and contacting past and present faculty, she was able to find and scan many of the documents and worked with Natalie Castelli, a web designer with Brock&#8217;s University Marketing and Communications, to create the site.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe learned a lot during this process and some of the artwork is really quite well done,\u201d says Aldridge-Low. \u201cYou can see how the conference has evolved and changed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some of the posters have been plaque-mounted and hung in the Canadian Studies hallway in the Glenridge Avenue (GLN-A) building.\u00a0Conference programs, including paper abstracts, and posters are available for download.
