{"id":64634,"date":"2020-03-11T11:14:16","date_gmt":"2020-03-11T15:14:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=64634"},"modified":"2020-03-11T12:59:37","modified_gmt":"2020-03-11T16:59:37","slug":"new-food-experience-coming-soon-to-brock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2020\/03\/new-food-experience-coming-soon-to-brock\/","title":{"rendered":"New food experience coming soon to Brock"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brock University Dining Services is set to start a new food service partnership with Aramark Canada Ltd. on May 1.<\/p>\n<p>The newly defined partnership prioritizes food quality, innovation and sustainably, and features a residence meal plan transition to all-access dining in the DeCew Residence and Lowenberger Residence dining halls.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrock University is committed to offering an outstanding student experience, and we know that a big part of that experience is the food options available to them on our campuses,\u201d said Brock University President Gervan Fearon. \u201cSelecting the next food service provider was not a decision the University came to lightly. It followed extensive consultation from stakeholders across campus including students, faculty, staff and student leadership groups.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The result of the consultation set the foundation for selecting Aramark Canada Ltd. as the food provider.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are honoured to be chosen to provide\u00a0dining service to the Brock University community,&#8221; said Andy Siklos, President of Aramark Canada Ltd. \u201cWe look forward to introducing our world-class brands and innovative culinary concepts to enrich the campus experience for Brock students and faculty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With the official launch of the new dining program targeted for September 2020, there is plenty of work to be done to transition Aramark Canada Ltd. onto campus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe residence dining halls are our top priority as we prepare for the launch of All- Access in September,\u201d said Malcolm Dales, Director, Dining Services. \u201cIn addition to dining halls, two new retail locations will come online over the summer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Construction has already started on the first fully-licensed Starbucks on campus, located in Guernsey Market.
