{"id":63462,"date":"2020-01-22T12:05:37","date_gmt":"2020-01-22T17:05:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=63462"},"modified":"2020-01-22T16:05:50","modified_gmt":"2020-01-22T21:05:50","slug":"monster-pitch-deadline-approaching","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2020\/01\/monster-pitch-deadline-approaching\/","title":{"rendered":"Monster Pitch deadline approaching"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With the application deadline quickly approaching, student entrepreneurs looking to take their business idea to the next level are encouraged to apply for this year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/goodman-group\/venture-development\/programs\/monster-pitch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Monster Pitch<\/a> event.<\/p>\n<p>The annual pitch competition, inspired by CBC\u2019s Dragon\u2019s Den, provides teams of Brock students the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges. These entrepreneurs will compete for a cash prize and support services that can help them bring their idea to life.<\/p>\n<p>Monster Pitch is run by the Brock Innovation Group (BIG) in partnership with Goodman Group \u2014 Venture Development and the Goodman School of Business.<\/p>\n<p>Students from all Faculties can apply, however each team must be comprised of at least 50 per cent current Brock students.<\/p>\n<p>Applications will be processed by a selection committee, with the most promising proposals moving forward to the next step \u2014 pitching their venture to a panel of experts.
