After a film screening over the weekend, Brock Pride Week<\/a> arrived on Brock University\u2019s main campus Monday, Jan. 20 with a flag raising and the 2SLGBTQ+ Drag Brunch.<\/p>\n

The flag-raising featured an all-inclusive design that represents Brock Human Rights and Equity\u2019s (HRE) dedication to the safety and support of all communities.<\/p>\n

Along with the rainbow from the pride flag, the new design also features black and brown colours to represent QTPOC\/2SLGBTQ+ individuals; blue and pink stripes to represent the transgender community; and a purple chevron which intersects with the white to represent the land Brock is on, Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe communities, and the two row wampum agreement.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The University\u2019s tower lights are also being lit in the colours of the new flag.<\/p>\n

Once inside, members of the Brock community were formally welcomed to Pride Week by several speakers before also eating brunch and taking in a performance from drag performer Raven S. Claw.<\/p>\n
