{"id":62340,"date":"2019-11-25T16:15:57","date_gmt":"2019-11-25T21:15:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=62340"},"modified":"2019-11-25T16:28:10","modified_gmt":"2019-11-25T21:28:10","slug":"wear-plaid-wednesday-in-memory-of-brock-student","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2019\/11\/wear-plaid-wednesday-in-memory-of-brock-student\/","title":{"rendered":"Wear plaid Wednesday in memory of Brock student"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The family of a Brock University student who passed away in February is asking the community to honour her memory this week.<\/p>\n<p>Amelia Durocher, <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2019\/02\/brock-mourns-death-of-student-4\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a first-year Accounting student who passed away on Feb. 18<\/a>, would have celebrated her 19th birthday on Wednesday, Nov. 27.<\/p>\n<p>In her memory, Durocher\u2019s family came up with Project Plaid, which includes wearing the pattern Amelia was known to love.
