When things go awry in transit from the supplier to the buyer, emotions run high.<\/p>\n

Anger significantly effects the judgements and decisions of those experiencing this emotion during a crisis. The way these individuals handle a supply disruption in this emotional state negatively effects the post disruption relationship between a supplier and buyer.<\/p>\n

Manus (Johnny) Rungtusanatham, Professor of Management Sciences at the Schulich School of Business, York University.<\/p><\/div>\n

On Friday, Nov. 8, the Goodman School of Business Luncheon Speaker Series<\/a> will host Manus (Johnny) Rungtusanatham from York University to present his paper titled \u201cSupplier Retention in the Aftermath of a Supply Disruption: Trigger Attributes and Anger.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rungtusanatham is a professor of Management Sciences as well as the newly appointed Canada Research Chair Tier 1 in Supply Chain Management at the Schulich School of Business. His research on quality management, mass customization and supply chain relationships have been published in Academy of Management Review, Decision Sciences, Journal of Business Logistics, Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Supply Chain Management, Production and Operations Management,<\/em> among others. Rungtusanatham has also initiated research to understand efforts into securitization of supply chains to minimize breaches.<\/p>\n

The Goodman Speaker Series provides an informal opportunity to listen and discuss recent advances in research, teaching and practices with international business colleagues.<\/p>\n

His talk will run from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the Goodman School of Business Room 310. Goodman faculty, staff and students are invited to attend.
