This Sunday could be the busiest day of the year on campus, as thousands of prospective students and their families converge on Brock for the annual Fall Preview Day.<\/p>\n
Last autumn was the biggest fall or spring open house in the University\u2019s history, as more than 5,300 people came through the doors to check out Brock\u2019s academic programs, residences, research and recreation facilities, and one of a handful of campuses in the world that is situated in a UN Biosphere Reserve.<\/p>\n
With a forecast of clear weather and ideal driving conditions across southern Ontario, an army of Brock faculty, staff and volunteers are preparing to put out the welcome mat.<\/p>\n
Fall Preview Day gives visitors a chance to attend Faculty and program-specific presentations, explore various labs, watch athletic demonstrations, attend an information fair, and get a sense of what the Brock experience is all about.<\/p>\n
Maclean\u2019s Magazine<\/em> recently ranked Brock in the top four among all Canadian comprehensive universities for student experience.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is an extremely important opportunity to tell Brock\u2019s story to the world,\u201d said Kara Kelly, Brock\u2019s Manager of Recruitment Operations. \u201cOur visitors get to see first-hand the university that has been growing steadily in terms of demand for admission. They get to meet many of the people who teach the programs and who make Brock the special place that it is.\u201d<\/p>\n Fall Preview Day runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, with Walker Sports Complex acting as the main hub for the event. An information fair in Ian Beddis Gymnasium, as well as tours and experiential opportunities, will run throughout the day. A shuttle heading downtown to tour the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts will depart Brock at 1:15 p.m.<\/p>\n Free parking will be available on campus throughout the day.<\/p>\n Students can register for Fall Preview Day in advance\u00a0online<\/a>\u00a0or in person on Sunday. All students who register are automatically entered into a $10,000 draw that will support tuition and residence costs in fall 2020.
