She died on Nov. 1 at the age of 58.<\/p>\n<p>Even though Vukmanic was in charge of labs for five different courses, &#8220;she was available to her students from morning to night,&#8221; said Heather Gordon, associate professor and chair of the department.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;She was a super person who was extremely dedicated to teaching.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Vukmanic held an honours BSc in Chemistry from the University of Waterloo and a masters degree from Brock.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by Nick, her husband of more than 33 years, and her son Mark, as well as a sister and brother, nieces and nephews and an extended family in Croatia.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation will be on Thursday, Nov. 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines.<\/p>\n<p>The funeral will be Friday, Nov. 5 at 11 a.m. at Star of the Sea Church, 34 Elgin St., St. Catharines.
