Brock\u2019s Social Science and Bioscience Research Ethics Boards are are looking for new faculty and graduate student members.<\/p>\n
The research ethics boards (REBs) are responsible for reviewing and assessing protocols for research involving human participants within Brock University or under University auspices. The boards\u00a0ensure that the physical safety and personal integrity of human participants in research are respected and protected by interpreting and applying the Tri-Council Policy Statement<\/a>\u00a0and relevant legislation.<\/p>\n \u201cThese dynamic volunteer boards provide a unique opportunity to gain insight into human research ethics,\u201d says Lori Walker, Manager, Office of Research Ethics.<\/p>\n The REBs are currently looking for faculty members to serve a two-year term, and graduate students to serve a one-year term.\u00a0Training is provided.<\/p>\n Interested applicants can contact Walker at\u00a0lori.walker@brocku.ca<\/a><\/p>\n
