PhD thesis defences<\/strong><\/p>\n Matthew Mallette, a PhD candidate in Applied Health Sciences,<\/span> will defend his thesis, titled \u201cEffects of local muscle temperature manipulations on neuromuscular function,\u201d on <\/span>Monday, July 15 <\/span>at <\/span>1 p.m. <\/span>in South Block 361.<\/span><\/p>\n The examination committee includes Stephen Cheung, Supervisor; David Gabriel, Michael Holmes and Joffre Mercier, Advisory Committee; Christopher McNeil, External Examiner (Faculty of Health and Exercise Development, University of British Columbia); Stephen Emrich, Internal Examiner; and Heather Gordon, Chair.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0—<\/span><\/p>\n Kevin McGuiness, a PhD candidate in Interdisciplinary Humanities,<\/span> will defend his thesis, titled \u201cThe Boogeyman in the Cultural Imaginary: From the Fairytale to the Slasher Film,\u201d on <\/span>Tuesday, July 16\u00a0 at 1 p.m. <\/span>in <\/span>Welch Hall 147<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n The examination committee members are Cristina Santos, Supervisor; Barry K.
