Members of the Brock community are invited to try their hand at a number of parasports during an event held on campus Saturday, June 1.<\/p>\n
Hosted by the Brock Niagara Penguins<\/a>, a local parasport program for youth and adults with a physical disability, the Try Parasport Event will be held in Brock’s Gym 2 from 10 a.m. to noon.<\/p>\n Participants will be able to\u00a0attempt three of the seven parasports the Penguins offer: wheelchair basketball, boccia and sitting volleyball.<\/p>\n The Try Parasport Event is part of the ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge<\/a>, an annual initiative that aims to get neighbourhoods moving together and awards $150,000 to Canada\u2019s most active community.<\/p>\n The first 40 people to register by Friday, May 24 will have a chance to win a prize.<\/p>\n
